Random thoughts

After using my Gazelle for the first time in forever earlier this week I found myself wondering how far I'd gone. The Gazelle had a built in unit that tracked time, distance, etc. but it did not survive the move up from Ohio. I then remembered that my iPod has a pedometer function on it so when I used the Gazelle again today I made sure to turn that on. I have no idea how accurate it really is, but it is mainly for me to use as a comparison. For instance I should be logging roughly the same number of steps during the same length of time on the Gazelle. We'll see how it goes.

I've been thinking more and more about getting a new laptop. I really love the MacBook Air. The downside is the cost though. I looked around and found that Asus and Acer have similar laptops, but I do not like them as much. I'm a visual person, and I just really love the visual aesthetic of the MacBook Air.
Reasons for a laptop in general are to work on blog stuff (as I'd like to expand/do more on here), and as a traveling computer (which includes around my apartment and life in general). Regardless of what I ultimately decide to buy, I will also need to purchase a wireless router and get that all set up in my apartment. (A process that I never enjoy.)

When I woke up this morning I had the thought that I wanted to exercise today. I found myself struggling to figure out how and when to do so while trying to figure out what else I was going to do today. I did get my exercise in and am happy and proud that I did so. It may not be a lot by post people's standards,  but for me for now a little goes a long way.

I discovered a new blog this week. MotiveWeight (http://motiveweight.blogspot.com). They post motivational weight loss images/quotes every day, sometimes several times a day. I've saved a bunch of them and have them as rotating backgrounds on my desktop. Here's the current image on my desktop:

End of month goal review & end of year/new year with January goals posts coming soon!
