Improvements, entertainment and toys


Lots to update on and not a lot of time to do it in. 

So far so good with the "Biggest Loser" competition thing at work. I was down 1.8 pounds. I still haven't made it back to a WeightWatchers weigh in though. :-\  I was going to go this weekend, but between being overtired in general and being up later than planned last night I slept in later than I really wanted to but I needed the sleep. 
Going to go to Wednesday night's WeightWatchers meeting. The more I think about it, I am absolutely more likely to go consistently when I can go right after work. Thursday nights don't work well because the weigh in starts at 6, which means I have time to kill between work and then, and I know I will want to just go home and then I won't want to go back out. Wednesdays start at 4:30, which makes it a bit of a rush for me to get there, but I think it will be good. Weekends just are too hard. I need the extra time to sleep. 

Last week at work was crazy. Started out still feeling overwhelmed about everything but things started to settle down as the week progressed. I think I managed to get the stuff that was super overdue taken care of and make good progress on the things that needed to have already been in progress. I'm still not where I probably should be yet, but I'm confident that I can get there. 

I had an impromptu dinner with my friend M on thursday night went to a local Japanese restaurant to use a Groupon I had that was getting ready to expire. 



As you can see in the photo, M is really excited about the presentation of her dinner. I think it was the cauldron of soup. 
Even though I was out late I am extremely glad we went. We hadn't gotten to hang out in a while and I ended up really needing the friend time. 


I finally broke down and went and bought a 13inch MacBook Air Saturday! The total purchase cost still hurts a little but I am loving it so far and I've only been able to use it for a few hours. I still need to get Microsoft Office on it and set up a router in my apartment so I can fully use my new laptop for everything that I want to be able to, but I will get there. I can get Office at the bookstore on campus during the week and I will try to get the router hooked up after work this week too. I would love to get it all set up by the end of the week, but my priority is to get all set up and ready to start teaching my class next week. 

My bridesmaid dress arrived this week. It fits but just barely. I need to definitely lose a few more pounds before the wedding and get it hemmed up of course. I just got my Zappos order for possible shoes to wear, so once I decide I can bring the dress in for hemming. I also bought some Spanx which will help the dress fit better no matter what happens with my weight in the next six weeks. 


The week ahead is going to be crazy too. All day at Darien Lake tomorrow with students and some of my coworkers as other chaperones. Then there is Lego night, and then two "normalize" work days before the long holiday weekend which includes my friend's Bachellorette party/day. :-) I know that Darien Lake and the party will be fun I just get overwhelmed with traveling because I'm always worried about my stomach and getting enough sleep. Of course there is added stress as I start teaching for the first time next week and I am sooooo not ready!!!!! 

Ok. Well I've been here at Barnes and Noble long enough. Time to go finish my errands and running around for the day so I can do all the stuff I still need to do back in my apartment.
