This last week has been extremely hectic and stressful. Things started Tuesday night when the power in my room suddenly died. Part of our house is on a circuit breaker and the other part is on a fuse box. We checked both and couldn’t find anything, which unfortunately means that the problem is somewhere in the wiring. To fix the wiring could mean tearing apart the walls in my room to start with, and then possibly half of the house depending on where the faulty wires are located.
Wednesday I went and bought some super long extension cords, and we have those running from one of the other upstairs rooms into my room for power. I also bought an upright lamp that uses a three-way bulb so that I can have light for most of my room, and I have the lamp on my nightstand for a little extra light.
Work itself has been extremely hectic lately. Several people have been on vacation and prep for the new semester is in full swing, which means lots to do and what seems like not enough time to get it all done.
Saturday was an event at the school with lots of DJs. I was supposed to only need to help for a couple hours, but ended up being there for a little over five hours. Working at these events is always extremely tiring. Because I was there longer than planned, I ended up too tired to do any of my errands on Sunday. I could have gone ahead and tried to get everything done but that would have made me even more overtired which might end up making me sick all week which was not something I was willing to risk.
Unfortunately, one of the errands that I bypassed Sunday was going to weigh in and to a meeting. My home scale showed a loss of 0.2. Not much but I’ll take it. Due to some plans and traveling, I am unsure if I will be able to make next Sunday’s meeting. I’d go Tuesday night to get in a meeting and weigh in this week except I have to do laundry Tuesday after work. (Monday evening I have an appointment, and the rest of the week doesn’t have meeting times that would work.)
Due to the power issues and fix via extension cords, I no longer have the floor space needed to do any exercise in my bedroom (which actually has/had the largest area of floor space). I still have a lot of cleared space, but the cords are a bit of a hazard.
Also, I’ve decided to switch to using a paper tracker for this week to try it out since tracking in Excel hasn’t worked out as well as I would like it to.
